Digital displays are taking the advertising world by storm, and a growing number of companies want in on this incredibly advantageous way of spreading their brand to a large number of people. If you are just dipping your toes in the world of digital signage, there are a few things to keep in mind in order to make your first ad a success. Here are a few tips on how to make the most out of your LCD digital signage.

Be Brief But Informative

When displaying an ad using a digital display, be sure that you keep your audience in mind. If your billboard will be on the side of the road, for example, don’t crowd it up with a wordy message – your intended audience may not have time to read it all, and will not retain your brand. Instead be brief but include all the information that you want to convey. If you have a retail location and you want to emphasize a sale, there’s no need to include each and every detail. A simple message and an image of the item or items that are on sale will do the trick. Your customers can learn more when the come in store.

Use Complimentary Colors

Don’t offend your audience’s eye by including too many high contrasting colors. These will be visually off-putting and will almost certainly detract from your message. Instead use complimentary colors, and be sure that not all of them are bright or primary shades. Use variations of those colors in the ad in order to be sure they are pleasing to the eye. When it comes to text, remember that white text with a black border will stand out well against almost any shade, making it an idea choice.

Switch Up The Design

Since your display is digital, feel free to switch it up with greater frequency that you could if it were a print ad. This means that you can change them depending on time of year, current promotion, or even to suit the holidays. If you are paying a third-party company to design these ads on your behalf, don’t be nervous about spending the extra bit to have multiple ads drawn up – remember that you are saving that money in spades when it comes to printing costs and installation of each ad.
